Sirius radio updating stuck
I actually work at Sirius XM, so I can answer some of these questions. Every FPACE that has SXM as part of the spec comes with a free three-month trial.
Your dealer SHOULD have activated the trial for you before left the lot, but most dealers don't do it.
Hopefully you get this soon as it's been 7 months since your post. audi reprogrammed and said everything is ok on their side! my audi is a 2006 audi 4.2 avant and sirius randomly konks out any help?
I checked the connection in back of the head unit, all wires and connections appear to be ok. My satellite radio was working great for 3 weeks then locked up just like you said. So I ripped it out and sent it back to Crutchfield for a return. Most of these issues can be easily solved by giving your radio a few extra minutes to finish updating the first time you power it up on or after August 17.Other potential issues and troubleshooting tips are provided below. That's our Free Listening program (which I run) and it's a way to get former listeners to check us out again and hopefully resubscribe.
Your dealer might have thought your trial was active, but it's a completely different program and doesn't affect your trial. The Sirius radio in my 2006 A6 4.2 has recently been going into Linking mode and not coming out of it or cutting in and out periodically. I did have a new signal hit sent from Sirius, but it did not help. Is there anyone else who has had the same problem and been able to correct or troubleshoot it?
